    Overview

    Gibraltar Veterinary Hospital is searching for a full time Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our AAHA accredited and Fear Free Certified Hospital

    Must hold a Veterinary Technician License in the State of Michigan.

    Gibraltar Veterinary Hospital is a 2 doctor, AAHA accredited and Fear Free certified practice that sees dogs and cats. We offer a large array of services including: ultrasound, laser therapy, a variety of surgical cases and more. We foster an environment where our we empower the team to continue to learn and grow.

    We recently had a change in leadership. Our new leadership has implemented monthly department and all team staff meetings. This keeps everyone on the same page and working together towards our goals.

    Leadership also provides lunch and learn opportunities to develop the teams' skill set and keep the team up to date on the most current medications and treatment options.

    Since our change in leadership, our culture has improved and is only getting better. We have fun inside and outside of work. Our team is close knit and we genuinely appreciate everyone's unique experience and personality that they bring to work with them.

    We utilize our veterinary technicians as much as possible and encourage them to use the skills they've learned in tech school- technicians do primarily tech work- phlebotomy, tech appts, iv cath placement, monitoring anesthesia, and other procedures and therapies. We have added medical vet tech appointments to our list of services offered. This is working out great

    We are looking for a Licensed Veterinary Technician that has the foundation to anticipate the needs of their co-worker, jump right in to help, with a growth mindset and would like to continue learning. We can help develop your skill set through mentorship.

    Gibraltar Veterinary Hospital believes in being active in the community. We work with local adoption groups and shelters. We also participate in local school career days, community events, fundraising, and job shadowing programs. Come join our TEAM

    Location: 29503 W. Jefferson Ave., Gibraltar, Michigan 48173

    Clinic Hours: Monday-Friday 8a-5p, Saturday 8a-1p

    Compensation: $21-25/hr, dependant on experience/skill set

    Benefits:

    PTO - 80

    Full-time team members will be awarded additional PTO based on their years of service.
