Job Description:
The Field Engineering Specialist performs aircraft servicing, inspections, troubleshooting and repair of all aircraft systems in accordance with applicable technical data
Tows and positions aircraft
Fly with the aircraft to provide off station maintenance support, removes and installs aircraft avionics, hydraulic components, landing gear, tires, and struts
Performs engine removals and installations
Checks for work correctness
Analyzes equipment failures to determine cause and recommends corrective action in accordance with applicable aircraft maintenance manuals
Implements preventive maintenance programs, documents performance and maintenance records on aircraft and equipment
Position will include lifting, bending, and climbing
Position will require travel CONUS and OCONUS
Position requires daily interface with customers at numerous levels
Job Qualification Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
