    JOB SUMMARY:
    • We are currently looking for caregivers who are certified by the state and are specifically trained and competent to perform assigned functions of personal care to the client in their residence.
    • 8 hours shift from Monday to Friday.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • A driver's license or valid transportation.
    • Sympathetic nature toward the care of the sick and elderly.
    • Ability to follow directions, read and write in English language.
    • Prior experience and CPR training may be necessary.
    • Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
    • Willingness to work flexible hours, which may include night shifts.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Understands and adheres to established policies and procedures.
    • Assist clients with personal hygiene, including showers, tub or bed baths, oral care, and hair and skin care.
    • Assist clients in the use of toilet facilities, including bed pans.
    • Assist clients in and out of bed, excluding the use of mechanical lifting equipment unless trained and documented as competent.
    • Assist clients with walking, including the use of walkers and wheelchairs, when applicable.
    • Meal preparation and feeding, when required.
    • Ambulates and exercises the client as assigned.
    • Provide companionship to clients.
    • Prepare and serve meals or snacks.
    • Provide grooming and dressing guidance.
    • Performs household services essential to home care in the home as assigned.
    • Provide laundry and linen service, including washing, ironing, and folding clothes.
    • Provide shopping service to the client including grocery and clothes shopping.
    • Provide incidental transportation for clients which includes visits to doctor appointments, friends, family members, or stores.
    • Provide assistance and planning of clients' recreational activities and events.
    • Record and report changes in the client's physical condition, behavior, appearance, and/or needs to the supervisor or Care Coordinator.
    • Document visit records/services delivered in accordance with policies and procedures.
    RISK EXPOSURE:
    • High risk.
    LIFTING REQUIREMENTS:Ability to perform the following tasks if necessary:
    • Ability to participate in physical activity.
    • Ability to work for extended periods of time while standing and being involved in physical activity.
    • Heavy lifting.
    • Ability to do extensive bending, lifting, and standing on a regular basis.
