    About the Opportunity
AlphaSense is a high-growth global technology company redefining how organizations access and use market intelligence. As we scale toward a global workforce of ~3,500 employees and prepare for public-company rigor, we are reshaping how we design and deliver the full employee value proposition. Historically, compensation, benefits, mobility, and workplace experience have lived in different parts of the organization - but employees experience these programs as a single, interconnected ecosystem. To attract, motivate, and retain world-class talent, we need a unified strategy that connects the financial components of Total Rewards with the lived experience of working at AlphaSense.
We are creating a modern Total Rewards & Experience function that integrates compensation, equity, benefits, wellbeing, mobility, recognition, and Workplace, Community & Experience into one cohesive and strategic portfolio. This new structure elevates Total Rewards into one of the company's most powerful value-creation levers - strengthening competitiveness, improving governance, accelerating decision-making, and creating a more coherent and intentional employee experience.
We are seeking a Vice President of Total Rewards & Experience to build and lead this global organization. This executive will architect a unified rewards strategy, develop scalable and modern programs, and partner closely with the C-suite, Board, Finance, Legal, and leaders across the business to ensure our approach reflects both strong financial discipline and a deeply employee-centered philosophy. It is a rare opportunity to design a next-generation Total Rewards ecosystem at a company entering a new chapter of scale, performance, and maturity.
    What You Will Lead
In this role, you will architect and operationalize a unified Total Rewards & Experience ecosystem that brings together compensation, equity, benefits, wellbeing, mobility, recognition, and Workplace, Community & Experience. You will design the philosophy, governance model, and operating systems that define how AlphaSense rewards performance, supports well-being, and shapes the everyday experience of employees globally. Central to this will be creating a clear, modern narrative for how we invest in our people - one that reflects competitiveness, sustainability, and the culture we are building.
You will build and oversee a strategic and scalable compensation framework that reinforces our position in the global talent market and aligns with the financial discipline required of a high-growth SaaS business. You will define a durable compensation philosophy, establish governance practices, and partner closely with Finance to ensure rewards decisions are grounded in financial performance, workforce plans, and market realities. Your scope will include leading all aspects of broad-based compensation and collaborating with Sales Operations and GTM leadership to develop sales compensation programs that drive predictable business performance and customer value.
Your leadership will extend deeply into executive compensation and public-company readiness. You will oversee benchmarking, incentive plan design, performance metrics, and governance across executive roles, acting as a trusted advisor to the CEO, CFO, and Board. You will help shape our public-company narrative by supporting CD&A development, preparing proxy inputs, advising on say-on-pay considerations, and ensuring that our practices reflect transparency, rigor, and strong alignment with shareholder expectations.
You will own the design and long-term stewardship of our equity strategy, ensuring that our programs are competitive, sustainable, and aligned with how we want employees to experience ownership. You will support education, clarity, and understanding around equity value, and guide decisions related to equity modeling, usage, allocation, and refresh philosophy - prioritizing business impact, future potential, and critical retention needs.
Your scope will also encompass the evolution of global benefits, wellbeing, and Workplace, Community & Experience. You will transition Benefits from technical plan administration to a holistic wellbeing platform that supports physical, emotional, and financial health across geographies. You will integrate workplace strategy, location planning, amenities, and community-building efforts into the broader rewards ecosystem, ensuring that our physical environments and cultural experiences reinforce connection, belonging, and productivity. By bringing WCE into Total Rewards, you will shape how employees experience AlphaSense daily - strengthening engagement, cohesion, and the lived expression of our culture.
Finally, you will bring analytical rigor and operational excellence to all aspects of Total Rewards & Experience. You will develop Board-level insights, dashboards, and forecasting tools; strengthen governance across compensation, equity, benefits, mobility, and workplace programs; and ensure that our systems, processes, and communications reflect clarity, precision, and high judgment. You will build a global team with deep expertise and a builder's mindset, creating the infrastructure required for AlphaSense to scale with both discipline and humanity.
    What You Bring
    • 12+ years of HR leadership experience, with 7+ years leading global compensation and benefits functions
    • Deep expertise across global compensation, executive compensation, equity strategy, benefits, wellbeing, and sales compensation, preferably including experience transitioning these functions toward public company operations
    • Experience partnering directly with CEOs, CFOs, Boards, and Compensation Committees
    • Familiarity with public-company governance (proxy filings, CD&A narratives, say-on-pay strategy) or equivalent advisory exposure
    • Demonstrated success in managing the end-to-end Total Rewards integration for M&A transactions
    • Strong analytical and operational capabilities, including program design, forecasting, and decision-support modeling
    • A track record of building or modernizing rewards programs in high-growth or complex global environments
    • Experience leading and scaling multi-disciplinary teams, including experience treating workplace strategy as a critical component of the Total Rewards ecosystem
    • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to simplify complex topics for senior audiences
    • High judgment, discretion, and the ability to influence across all levels of leadership
    • A builder's mindset - strategic, creative, and comfortable operating in both high-altitude and hands-on modes
    Why Join Us
Total Rewards & Experience is one of the most consequential levers in shaping AlphaSense's next chapter. In this role, you will define how we reward performance, support wellbeing, strengthen leadership, and create a compelling experience for employees around the world. You will build a modern, global rewards ecosystem from the ground up - one that integrates compensation, ownership, benefits, wellness, and workplace experience into a single, coherent strategy. And you will help position AlphaSense for long-term success as a disciplined, high-performing, public-company-ready organization.
If you are energized by architecting a transformative Total Rewards & Experience function that connects financial rewards with the lived experience of work, we would love to meet you.
