    Procurement LeadProcurement LeadWe are hiring a Procurement Lead.


    The Procurement Lead is responsible for managing the Procurement process and team in executing activities for all sourcing categories with goal of establishing fundamental documentation and programs to improve cost and reduce risk.


    OverviewThis position through leadership, theme development, and stakeholder alignment is responsible to advance the area of procurement for the company.

    They are also responsible to lead several members, as a team, in their respective category to achieve accuracy and speed of delivery, to meet the needs of a dynamic and fast paced fundamental research organization.

    Additionally, they will regularly engage with the business stakeholders, including internal customers and external vendors and lead strategies to achieve optimal conditions for the achievement of our corporate business goals, while ensuring due diligence in process and procedures.

    They are also accountable to assign key activities/themes to team members by noting expertise and monitoring workload through results.

    This position is responsible to drive results through the creation and management of competitive bidding processes and analyzation of data and current best business trends.

    Must work collaboratively with a strong sense of urgency to meet customer timeline while maintaining the integrity with the procurement responsibility.

    Responsible for assessing / reporting the team's results/achievements, while continually challenging for process improvement

    Responsibilities:
    Collaborate with internal stakeholders in supporting their sourcing needs and provide necessary guidance in regard to procurement processes.
    Partner with Finance, Division Directors, and other areas in support their respective needs.
    Generate and track savings achievements according to procurement annual goals and policy.
    Assess and optimize procurement functions based on cost-effectiveness, vendor risk, and other criteria.
    Establish risk assessment tracking methodology to ensure business continuity.

    Source, evaluate, and select competitive suppliers.

    This includes visiting supplier facilities to determine capabilities.
    Handle contract negotiations, evaluations, and act as a primary escalation point for contract-related matters.
    Approve all organizational contracts related to procurement and oversee related systems including Enterprise-wide Procure-to-Pay System and Business intelligence tools.
    Mentor members of team to increase total capability in the area of procurement.

    *QualificationsRequired Education: Bachelor's degree in Business or related field or equivalent experienceRequired Work Experience and Skills:

    • A minimum of 8+ experience in either a Purchasing and/or Procurement related role or in a field where job knowledge and skills are applicable based on education
    • Intermediate computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Suite to include Word, Excel, Powerpoint
    • Familiarity with COUPA, SAP, ARIBA
    • Leadership capabilities and Associate Development Focus
    • Strong Communication skills to various audiencesTravel will be about 10-30% of the position
