    Position Summary
    The primary location of this position is on the main Cullowhee, NC campus.

    The Associate Director for Residence Life (AD) is a member of the central management team.

    The AD provides supervision and development for Master's level Area Coordinators (ACs) and graduate level Graduate Community Coordinators (GCCs); incorporates the academic mission of the university into the residential experience; assists in the coordination of national searches for professional and graduate staff; provides departmental leadership in recruiting and selecting undergraduate student staff; serves as a consultant and resource to department staff in the areas of supervision, staff training and development, leadership development, programming, Greek Life, and Student Community Ethics; and participates in an emergency/crisis response on-call rotation.

    The Associate Director reports to the Director for Residence Life. This is a live-on position.
    Minimum Qualifications


    • Master's Degree in College Student Personnel, Education, Human Services, Higher Education in Student Affairs or related field.
    • Minimum three (3) to five (5) years professional post Masters live-in experience managing a residence hall.
    • Outstanding organizational, planning, communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
    Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
