- Provides leadership and continually seeks ways to improve Branch operations and productivity to meet established goals. Prepares periodic Branch activity reports and makes recommendations to management for improvements.
- Effectively supervises Branch staff levels to ensure that all personnel are effectively and optimally used. Determines staff work schedules and ensures optimal performance. Ensures that high quality work and efficiency in operations are maintained. Coaches and mentors staff on sales programs and objectives. Tracks individual progress and conducts performance appraisals.
- Supervises and implements changes to established policy and procedures within the Branch.
- Supervises and performs teller transactions, lending and member services functions as needed. Cross-sells Credit union products and services. Ensures that members are aware of Credit Union policies and that their requests and questions are promptly resolved.
- Assumes responsibility for maintaining proper cash controls by verifying the vault cash, teller's cash drawers, cash dispense machines and ATM/ITM machines on a regular basis. Ensures that cash audits are completed as assigned.
- Assumes responsibility of branch security and safety measures. Ensures that all security equipment is tested as assigned.
- Reviews payroll and attendance records for accuracy and adherence to policies and procedures. Approves all requested leave, vacation, overtime, and timesheets for Branch employees.
- Manages and oversees expenses of the branch.
- Conducts regular meetings and training sessions with Branch employees as needed.
- Ensures that the Credit Union's quality reputation is maintained and projected through effective, professional business relations with members, the community, and professional contacts.
- Must maintain proficiency in operating hardware and software used in the branch.
- Ensures the branch is opened and closed in accordance with set hours.
- Ensures proper maintenance and general housekeeping of the building, grounds, work areas and equipment are carried out.
- Ensures that adequate supplies, forms, and equipment are available for personnel.
- Associate degree in Finance, Business, Management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Thorough knowledge of credit union financial products and services.
- Understanding of related and regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with Branch functions, policies, and procedures.
- One year credit union experience.
- Three years of operational experience within the financial industry.
- Three years of managerial experience.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, communication, and supervisory skills.
- Well organized.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to operate related computer applications and related business equipment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Two years of lending experience preferred.
- Teller experience preferred.
- No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions (such as in a typical office).
- Occasional local travel among Credit Union branches.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including Saturdays as needed.
