    Description

    Purple is building financial products that enable people with disabilities to spend, save and invest for a better life. At Purple, we're on a mission to empower people with disabilities to achieve financial independence. We are looking to add key early team members to join our efforts in building a more inclusive financial system.

    You will:

  • Design, build, and maintain NoSQL and SQL databases
  • Build and maintain our mobile application
  • Enhance and maintain our AWS infrastructure
  • Build and maintain important third-party integrations
  • Optimize for frontend/backend efficiency
  • Debug production issues in concert with user support
  • Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes

    You may be a fit for this role if you:

  • Uphold best practices in engineering, security, and design
  • Have experience scaling infrastructure to support millions of users

    Skillset:

  • APIs - Authentication, REST, JSON
  • Javascript, React, , PostgreSQL
  • Experience writing and maintaining test suites
  • 5+ years of full stack engineering experience

    Bonus:

  • React Native
  • Email / Messaging - SendGrid, Twilio
  • Familiarity with financial/payments technology and money movement concepts
  • Experience in a regulated environment
