Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Grill Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing delicious grilled dishes and assisting with food prep to ensure a seamless dining experience for our guests. Your enthusiasm and culinary skills will contribute to creating a lively, welcoming atmosphere where quality and efficiency are prioritized. Duties
- Prepare and cook grilled items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistent quality and presentation
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients for various menu items
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station and prep areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination
- Support menu planning efforts by suggesting new ideas and ensuring ingredient availability for daily specials
- Serve food efficiently to guests, ensuring timely delivery and excellent customer service
- Follow all safety protocols related to cooking, knife skills, and kitchen operations to promote a safe working environment
Skills
- Proven experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is highly desirable
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly within restaurant or food service settings
- Excellent knife skills with the ability to handle various kitchen tools safely and effectively
- Knowledge of food safety standards, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices
- Experience in menu planning, catering, or large-scale food service is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Exceptional teamwork skills with a positive attitude and strong communication abilities
