Skill Requirements & Responsibilities
Block:
Hitachi G series/VSP, Dell PowerMax/VMAX, Dell PowerStore/Unity, HPE 3PAR, Dell PowerFlex, Brocade SAN storage operational management and advanced troubleshooting
File:
Dell PowerScale/Isilon, NetApp (7mode/cmode & FSxN) storage operational management and advanced troubleshooting
Content Storage:
Dell Centera and ECS for archives operational management and advanced troubleshooting
Object Storage:
IBM cloud object storage operational management and advanced troubleshooting
Hands on experience with SAN & NAS for multi-OEM environments
Creating, configuring, managing and troubleshooting LUNs, volumes, shares and exports
Creating, configuring, managing and troubleshooting ACLs and permissions for NAS resources
Configuration and management of Brocade SAN. Tasks include creation of device alias, zones, adding zones to zone set and activating zone set.
Performs storage product upgrades, patching, capacity/performance monitoring, system health checks
Develop and implement storage lifecyle management strategies, evaluate and select as per organizational/client needs
Must have good understanding with cross functional technologies (applications, platforms and infrastructure) for storage lifecyle requirements
Design and architect storage solutions based upon the business/workload requirements
Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of the storage infrastructure
Install, build, implement, configure, migrate, enhance, operate and troubleshoot storage infrastructure
Suggest continuous improvements and identify opportunities for process/product optimizations
Disaster Recovery (DR) and/or Business Continuity Planning (BCP) documentation
Documentation for runbooks/KBs for Storage/Data Protection services
Storage replication, snapshot, and snapshot replication configuration and management
SAN switch port/performance issues monitoring and troubleshooting
Data/Client migration/transfer to new infrastructure
Hands on experience on storage management tools like Dell OpsManager, Unisphere, Netapp OCI, SanNav etc
Work with third party vendors/OEM partners for new products PoCs for enhancing customer experience
Effective handover know-how to operations upon project completion
Service management tools know-how, specifically, Service-Now, IM (Incident Management), CM (Change Management), PM (Problem Management)
License management on devices in SAN /NAS environment
Good understanding on Recovery Time Objective (RTO) & Recovery Point Objective (RPO).
Must have professional/advanced level certifications with any of the 2 listed OEM technologies
