    Principal Operating Systems Engineer w/ GPU and Virtualizati at Oracle in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Job Description Triage, debug and identify in Linux bugs amd writing and testing potential upstream patches.

    In addition, experience working with large GPU clusters at both the GPU driver and application layer such as NVIDIA drivers, CUDA libraries and various GPU benchmark packages (such as NCCL).

    As a member of the OHD OS team, you will be responsible to work with cross functional teams such as hardware and platform software in bringing up Oracle Linux on Oracle server platforms.

    Able to work directly with Oracle internal customers such as Exadata and OCI on customer escalations. BS 3+ years of experience working with Linux kernel and various device drivers.

    Responsibilities You will be responsible for defining and developing Able to triage Linux kernel issues and also the ability to write or identify upstream kernel patches.

    + Ability to use Linux crash tool to identify crash dumps and identify issues such as hangs, deadlocks, livelocks and memory indirection errors + Experience working with GPU clusters and GPU SW stack (like Nvidia DCGM) and debugging functional and performance issues in such large cluster configurations + Work closely with platform software and hardware teams to identify Linux boot time issues related to PCI enumeration and UEFI, SMBIOS and ACPI tables.

    + Experience identifying performance issues with processor, network or storage devices + Good understanding of Operating Systems fundamentals including device drivers + 5+ year developing kernel or device driver code.

    Ability to use kernel debuggers (crash, windbg) to debug kernel crash dumps including working knowledge of reading Linux kernel sources and building custom kernels + Working knowledge of C, bash scripting, package management in Linux.

    + Good overall systems understanding of the Linux boot process including UEFI and boot loader (grub, iPXE) + Working knowledge of Linux and Virtualization technologies such as QEMU/KVM Desired Skills + Ability to work with X86 and ARM assembler, python scripting + Experience with Agile development process + Working with other hardware OEMs creating server, switch, networking, or storage products + Experience with DevOps in Cloud data center environment.

    Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the United States only Hiring Range:
    from $94,200 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

    Paid time off:
