Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate, program, and maintain CNC machines such as CNC lathes and milling machines to produce precision-engineered components. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will drive efficiency and quality in our production processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing equipment, including Fanuc and Hass controls, and contribute to innovative projects in a fast-paced environment. Your attention to detail and commitment to precision will ensure we meet the highest standards of craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machinery, including CNC lathe or CNC milling machines, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical drawings to produce precise parts.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges.
- Select appropriate tooling and tooling fixtures; adjust machine parameters for optimal machining results.
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall quality.
- Adhere to safety protocols including forklift operation when handling raw materials or finished products.
Experience
- Proven experience operating CNC machines such as CNC lathes or milling centers with Fanuc or Haas controls.
- Strong background in CNC programming using either conversational style programming on Fanuc or Haas controls or familiarity with Fusion 360 is a plus.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical drawings essential for precise manufacturing.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges accurately.
- Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine settings confidently.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices to promote continuous improvement within production workflows.
- Valid certification or experience operating forklifts; willingness to adhere to safety standards at all times.
