Description
divh2Construction Safety Manager/h2pERM is hiring an experienced Construction Safety Manager to provide on-site support for our key pharmaceutical client in Philadelphia, PA.
In this critical role, you will be responsible for providing on-site observation of construction activities from an EHS perspective, ensuring health and safety compliance with applicable regulations and existing company standards, and contributing to an environment where employee health and safety are preserved.
You will be present during all site activities and responsible for all health and safety activities, and the delegation of duties to any other project team members.
This is a full-time (40+ hours/week), limited-term role for a duration of 12 months, renewable./ppResponsibilities:
/pulliEngage with general contractors and subcontractors on behalf of the owner, as the owners representative./liliPromote clients safety culture across contractor and subcontractor groups./liliProactively identify uncontrolled hazards and influence safe work practices of general contractors and subcontractors on behalf of the owner./liliOn-site observation of construction activities from an EHS perspective./liliDocumentation of activities with respect to required EHS performance./liliTrain on-site workers on EHS oversight program requirements./liliTrain on-site subcontractors on EHS oversight program requirements./liliHelp administer project directives given by the Clients Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) personnel throughout the project./liliReport on whether project staff and trade contractors are complying with the Clients safety procedures and are working in accordance with the approved project-specific safety plan./liliMaintain required safety-related documentation on the project site, including, but not limited to, safety orientation training, Job Hazard Analyses (JHA), SDSs, pre-task assessments, and toolbox talk summaries./liliParticipate in daily pre-shift coordination meetings to include review of the days activities and associated hazards./liliReview and comment on the General Contractors JHAs with project trades and obtain signatures prior to commencement of work./liliConduct daily site inspections, focusing on work site orderliness and compliance with safety procedures and protocols. Proposed corrections of safety deviations will be discussed with the General Contractors Safety Manager, and support will be provided for implementing corrective actions./liliIssue daily site observation reports for each site inspection.

/pulliBachelors degree in construction management, safety, or occupational health and safety, or a related degree preferred./lili3+ years of on-site experience in construction-specific project health safety.
/liliCertification in the field:
CHST, ASP, and/or CSP are preferred./liliPharmaceutical or high-tech project experience is highly desired./liliStrong knowledge of OSHA General Industry and construction standards./liliStrong commitment to safety, including implementing strict Health and Safety protocols./liliCompleted training and certifications for OSHA 30-hour construction, confined space entry training, and fall protection/prevention training preferred./liliExperience with Microsoft Office suite of software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)/liliAbility to multitask, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision./liliAbility to provide excellent project delivery and client service, quality on project deliverables, and organizational skills./liliAbility to organize and coordinate field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors.
/li/ulpPay Transparency:/ppFor the Construction Safety position, we anticipate the annual base pay of $100,464 $112,756.80, $48.30/hr. $54.21/hr. USD, limited-term, non-exempt. An employees pay position within this range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. We also may have instances where employees fall outside of the range based on the factors noted above. This job may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/Flexforce employees are NOT bonus eligible)./ppWe offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life disability insurance to benefits eligible employees./ppBenefits Eligibility is limited to Regular employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week.
