About the Role

Yōso Wellness Spa is seeking a licensed Massage Therapist to join our collaborative, holistic wellness team in downtown Santa Cruz.

This is an opportunity for a skilled practitioner who values therapeutic results, client relationships, and professional growth — not just filling a schedule.

We are a treatment-focused, Green Business Certified spa rooted in natural care, integrity, and whole-body healing. Our team is supported by full front desk and administrative staff so you can focus on what you do best: providing exceptional bodywork.

Compensation & Growth

$24–$66 per hour (based on tier level and services performed)
Client tips
Retail commission: 5%–12% based on monthly units sold
Built-in marketing support to help grow your books
Full scheduling + administrative support
Opportunities for continuing education and skill development

Schedule

Part-time or Full-time available
Weekend availability preferred
Employee position (not independent contractor)

What You'll Do

Provide Swedish, Deep Tissue, and therapeutic massage services
Customize sessions based on client goals and physical condition
Deliver a professional, welcoming client experience
Begin and end treatments on time
Maintain a clean and prepared treatment room
Encourage rebooking and long-term client relationships
Educate clients on body care and retail products
Collaborate with front desk and wellness team
Participate in team meetings and occasional community events

Qualifications

Required:

Active California Massage Therapy License
Strong knowledge of anatomy and therapeutic techniques
Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred:

2+ years experience in a spa or wellness setting
Prenatal massage certification (30 CEUs)
Experience with MINDBODY or similar booking systems
