    The DarkStar Group is seeking a Software Engineer with a TS/SCI + Poly clearance (applicable to this customer) to join one of our top projects in McLean, VA.

    THE PROGRAM The DarkStar Group is a member of 100% of the winning teams for the largest technology program in the Intel Community.

    We've been supporting this customer on many different sub-projects of this program since our founding in 2013.

    THE ROLE The Sponsor has a requirement for software engineering in support of data acquisition, exploitation, engineering, and management tasks.

    Lines of effort shall include direct operational support by facilitating data gathering in highly technical situations and participating in data exchanges with internal and external subject matter experts (SMEs).

    These include complex in-person data engineering and data science tasks with minimal or no access to online reference materials, providing engineering design and implementation of data triage capabilities, and providing technical expertise to support the development of the Sponsor's overarching data acquisition and exploitation strategy.

    Priorities will be determined by the Sponsor in close consultation with the Contractor project manager. Required Skills * Experience with developing infrastructure as code (HashiCorp Terraform, OpenTofu, or AWS Cloud Formation)

    • Experience with automated virtual machine builds (HashiCorp Packer)
    • Experience with AWS EC2, S3 (to include bucket policy creation), VPC APIs
    • Experience with Puppet
    • Experience with Salt, Chef, or other configuration management
    • Experience with Docker
    • Demonstrated understanding of networking fundamentals, VPNs, automated use of various cloud vendor's virtual private server as might be used in the construction of runtime defined network connectivity.
    • Experience developing automated provisioning of Linux operating systems with security hardening.
    • Experience with various hardware profiles to include multiple makes of laptop, desktop computers.
    • Experience mirroring Linux operating system installers and their corresponding package repositories.
    • Demonstrated experience as a full stack developer, including frontend and backend development with technology stacks such as SpringBoot, Django, Flask, Angular, jQuery, or React.
    • Demonstrated experience with backend database and search systems such as Elasticsearch, JanusGraph, DataStax Graph, PostgreSQL, Mysql/MariaDB, SQLite.
    • Demonstrated experience with Agile practices and methodologies
    • Demonstrated experience using programming languages such as Java, Python, Shell Scripting (bash), Javascript.
    • Demonstrated experience using software engineering utilities such as Eclipse, Visual Studio Code, git, and Docker.
    • Demonstrated experience in the software development lifecycle, and delivering within DevOps toolsets.
    • Demonstrated experience with development in AWS, on-prem and standalone environments.
    • Demonstrated experience with development leveraging cloud data services (such as S3, RDS, SNS, SQS).
