    Job Description

    The Therapy Technician works under the direct supervision of the licensed therapist, assisting in the treatment and care of the patient and provides non-skilled supportive services to the patient. The Therapy Technician will receive on-the-job training and must be fully competent in all performed duties.

    Responsibilities
    • Responsible for following all hospital and department precautions and procedures in the performance of job duties to ensure a safe work environment for self and others.
    • Assists with patient transport and patient care activities under the direct supervision of licensed clinical staff.
    • Obtains equipment needed for patient care delivery.
    • Maintains work area and equipment in condition required by department standards.
    • Additional responsibilities as directed by the licensed clinical staff and/or department manager.
    • Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his/her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, and specific job related hazards.
    • Assist in other duties as assigned to support the operational needs of the department and organization.
    • May be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.
    Qualifications

    Minimum Education
    • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
    Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Ability to seek and accept direction and clarification from others.
    • Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
    • Knowledge of basic computer skills.
    • Ability to deal appropriately with confidential information.
    • Possess organizational skills and be able to multi-task effectively.
