Job Overview:Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a PRN Cast Tech.
Responsibilities:The Cast Tech assists the nursing and medical staff with casting procedures. The Cast Tech assures adequate inventory of cast room supplies and keeps cast equipment clean and in excellent working condition. Maintains the physical environment of the cast rooms by ensuring that cast rooms are clean and safe. Provides safe and effective age and developmentally appropriate patient care under the direct supervision of the Manager of Clinical Practice.
Qualifications:Education/Certification:
High School Diploma/GED required
Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Orthopedic Cast Technician Certification preferred
Experience:
At least 1 year of casting experience in pediatric orthopedics preferred
Other:
Current full vaccination status required
Excellent organizational and communication skills required
