    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
    Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management or related field. Five years of Law Enforcement/Military experience and a combination of advanced certifications including PMP, TSSP, Professional Engineer, Certified Constructions Manager, CPTED, Six Sigma (LSS), Emergency Management Certification (CEM) required. Past experience in field related to Emergency Management/Business Continuity preferred. Must have working knowledge of MS Office products. Advance computer software and hardware technologies associated with Special Projects (CAD system, UAS software, etc.). In lieu of a degree, directly related work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis, in addition to the required years of work experience.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
    Certification as a Project Management Professional is required.

    SUMMARY
    Oversees, designs, plans and manages the scheduling of capital infrastructure projects for MARTA Police Department. Develops scope of work and cost estimates, timelines for projects while maintaining compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations. Communicates with vendor representatives to obtain product specific details and specifications and ensure compliance with Security Design Criteria and Security Certifications of Projects.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    1. Oversees project lifecycle from designs, plans and management of capital infrastructure projects; develops scope of work and cost estimates for projects while maintaining compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulation.
    2. As a member of the Detailed Evaluation Team, review and score Supplier responses to RFPs. Represent MPD as part of a Detailed Evaluation Team, the Source Evaluation Committee, Board Meetings, Safety & Security Certification Review Committee meetings, Design Review Committee meeting.
    3. Serves as Lead for Security Design Criteria & Safety Certification of all MPD Capital Projects.
    4. Incorporates continuous improvement processes into EPU/MPD structure by utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies and Project Management Principles.
    5. Assess best security technologies for the MARTA environment to include assimilation solutions for various security systems, evaluation of best end-user interface options with associated policies and operational impact analyses.
    6. Engage vendor in technology discussions, review contractual obligations and highlight the performance timeline.
    7. Reports status of Security Certification deliverables to SSCRC and GDOT.
    8. Performs other duties as assigned.
