Location: Remote home-office and field work based out of Logan, Utah

    Start Date: Negotiable

Job Description and Responsibilities: Anabranch Solutions, LLC specializes in low-tech process-based stream restoration throughout the western US. We are seeking team leaders to help guide multiple riverscape restoration efforts throughout Utah and grow Anabranch Solutions' footprint in Utah and neighboring states such as Idaho and Colorado. We are looking for self-motivated individuals to promote, coordinate, and lead restoration projects to improve riverscape health with process-based restoration. A Riverscape Restoration Project Manager would be responsible for projects. We are looking for individuals with experience winning and managing contracts, completing projects, managing and mentoring staff, and building trust and lasting relationships in the communities and with partners they work with. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated skills and experience to work with multi-disciplinary teams to conduct assessments of fluvial geomorphic, riparian, and ecological health indicators using a variety of geospatial data sets and models, develop and implement riverscape restoration plans, design and implement restoration effectiveness monitoring, and document these activities for both client deliverables and scientific publication. Experience with low-tech process-based restoration, construction, and a track record in consulting with clients and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds are all desirable qualities for this position.

This position could be a junior or senior level position, dependent on the candidate's qualifications. Junior level employees would be trained on the job by Anabranch staff whereas a senior position would be for more experienced candidates that would be expected to work more independently and grow Anabranch's footprint in these states through collaboration with other agencies, private landowners, and stakeholders. Anabranch Solutions undertakes an approach to restoration projects based on low-tech process-based stream restoration, but projects may include a blend of low-tech and more traditional restoration actions. A successful candidate will work with other Anabranch Solutions staff and principals to ensure successful planning, implementation, and maintenance of restoration projects. The position responsibilities include working with crew managers to plan project logistics, ensuring all staff follow safety procedures, oversight of health and welfare of the construction crew, directing construction crews, designing and implementing restoration, documenting assessments, planning, designs, as-built surveys, adaptive management plans, maintaining equipment, material and quantity estimation, procuring sourcing and staging building materials, ensuring permit compliance, site cleanup, and other tasks as required.
