Description

As a key member of the Albireo Energy team, the Systems Specialist plays a vital role in providing execution for HVAC Building Automation projects. This includes performing start-up, checking, testing, system diagnostics and commissioning from system-level controllers to end devices for small to medium-sized new or retrofit projects.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of electronic or digital controls systems, with a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems. A vocational school graduate or an Associate's degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field is required, with a minimum of five to seven years of experience in servicing electronic controls and HVAC equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventative and predictive maintenance service activities to ensure optimal performance of systems
Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair control components and controls systems, as well as mechanical, HVAC and electrical issues related to BAS Control system operation
Understand complex control systems, including diagnosing and troubleshooting networking and integration
Write, create, load, test and commission programming software and graphics utilizing various programming languages and software
Communicate effectively with customers on site, meeting regularly to discuss operating problems and provide training on control systems operations
Interface with service manager, project managers and subcontractors to coordinate activities and report problems or changes to management immediately

Requirements:

Extensive knowledge of electronic or digital controls systems
Vocational School graduate or an Associate's degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field
Degree may be offset by two years of experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems
Five to seven years of increasingly responsible experience in servicing electronic controls and HVAC equipment
Effective interpersonal skills to represent the company to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner
Valid Driver's license with a clean record
