Position Overview:
As a Medical Director for Aimergency Connect Psych Care, you will play a crucial role in overseeing virtual psychiatry services for Georgia (GA), Florida, and Texas.
Responsibilities:
Virtual Patient Consultations:
Conduct virtual psychiatric consultations with patients.
Utilize your expertise to assess, diagnose, and provide treatment recommendations.
Collaboration and Supervision:
Answer questions from nurse practitioners related to patient cases.
Act as a
collaborating/supervising
physician for practitioners without a supervisor.
Bi-Monthly Meetings:
Attend bi-monthly meetings with providers.
Provide guidance, support, and address any clinical or operational issues.
Compensation Structure:
Collaboration Fee:
$250 per provider per month for collaboration.
Patient Consultation Fee:
$115 per patient seen by you.
Meeting Fee:
$150 per meeting minutes).
Duties for a Psychiatrist:
Clinical Assessment:
Conduct thorough clinical assessments of patients during virtual consultations.
Formulate accurate diagnoses based on assessments.
Treatment Planning:
Develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
Collaborate with practitioners to implement and adjust treatment strategies.
Medication Management:
Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications as necessary.
Monitor medication efficacy and potential side effects.
Clinical Oversight:
Provide clinical oversight and guidance to nurse practitioners.
Ensure adherence to quality and compliance standards.
Education and Training:
Offer educational support to practitioners on the latest developments in psychiatry.
Conduct training sessions to enhance clinical skills.
Collaboration and Communication:
Maintain open communication with the healthcare team.
Collaborate effectively with other medical professionals to optimize patient care.
Documentation:
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters.
Complete required paperwork for collaboration and supervision.
Meeting Participation:
Actively participate in bi-monthly meetings with providers.
Contribute insights and expertise to improve overall service quality.
Requirements:
Valid medical license in GA, FL, or TX.
Board certification in psychiatry.
Experience in virtual psychiatry and telemedicine.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to provide clinical supervision.
Must have valid professional liability insurance
