Position Summary
Experienced and motivated Quality Control Inspector needed for first, in process, and final piece inspections. Incumbent will know how to interpret blueprints and approve initial drawings and drafts. Individual will have knowledge of ISO compliant processes as well as the ability to test, inspect and sample materials for compliance to given specifications. This person must be able to inspection for overall quality and functionality of complicated equipment, instruments, products, or diversified parts and assemblies. Devise unusual measuring and gauging set ups.
Qualifications and Experience
· 3+ years' experience working in the quality control and quality assurance field in a manufacturing environment.
· High School diploma or equivalent required.
· Previous experience a plus with ISO 9001 programs
· Proven capability to interpret blueprints, process documentation and GD&T
· Can work independently and as part of a team.
· Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
· Must be able to lift 50lbs or more.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Inspects parts during all stages of processing, using dial caliper, micrometer, comparator, height gauge etc.
· Interprets and approves initial drawings and drafts of parts.
· Inspect, test, and sample materials or assembled parts or products for defects and deviations from specification.
· Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products and recommend necessary corrective actions.
· Discard or reject products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications.
· Issues tooling jigs / gauges as required per job.
· Asist with other various tasks as directed.
