    Responsibilities:

    We are seeking a highly motivated Lead Structural Engineer to lead our Southeast Transportation Structural team. This role will be positioned in our Tallahassee, FL office.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Supervising, managing, and mentoring structural design staff.
    • Serving as the project manager for structural design projects for DOTs and municipal clients.
    • Participating in business development opportunities including writing technical proposals and proactive marketing of future opportunities.
    • Collaborating with our Transportation Structures Division to manage resources for projects within Florida.
    • Performing management tasks as required.
    • Travel as necessary
    Qualifications:

    The successful candidate will have all the following:

    • Bachelors degree (or higher) in civil or structural engineering
    • 18+ years of relevant transportation structural design experience in a consulting environment
    • PE license in any state, with the ability to obtain FL license within 6 months of hire date

    The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:

    • Proven leadership in transportation structural design projects
    • Seismic structural design
    • Familiarity with structural analysis and design software (OBD Suite, MDX, Midas, STAAD, AASHTO BrR, Microstation, AutoCad, etc)
    • Experience in team managment
    • A track record in buisness development and building successful practices with DOTs
