    Description

    One of The Select Group's Utilities clients is looking to hire 4 Financial Analyst to join their growing team in Detroit, MI. This role would be a long term contract role with potential to hire on full time. This would be hybrid in nature working 1 day a week in downtown Detroit until July where then it will move to 3 days onsite and one day remote. Please see below for the requirements and day to day responsibilities.

    Financial Analyst Must Have Skills:

    • 3+ years of Financial Analysis experience
    • Proficient in Excel
    • SAP experience
    • Strong Budget Management experience
    • Previous forecasting experience
    • Ability to create journal entries for month-end close
    • Variance analysis experience
    • GAAP experience

    Financial Analyst Day to Day Responsibilities


    • Responsible for various business financial processes, including financial planning, forecasting, and consolidating detailed financial budgets.


    • Reports and analyzes business performance and performs system maintenance.


    • Scope and number of processes may vary depending on team.


    • Provides financial planning, forecasting and financial budgets.


    • Responsible for business financial processes, including financial planning, forecasting, and consolidating detailed financial budgets.


    • Ensures compliance with GAAP and Regulatory accounting.


    • Serve as liaison between external Auditors and business unit accounting and provides accounting guidance on all accounting related matters.


    • Prepares internal financial reports and variance analyses.


    • Analyzes data and develops conclusions.


    • Organizes work independently and works in teams.


    • Generates reports from a variety of corporate system applications.


    • Performs journal entries in support of the month-end close process
