    Will work under the supervision of the Facility Manager.

    Cashier/Concession Attendant at the Outdoor Aquatic Facilities must:

    maintain effective customer service skills; be able receive money and make make appropriate change; prepare, serve and stock concession items; provide a sanitary facility through continual cleaning of the facility and equipment; count money and complete daily cash journal; interpret and apply established policies; have the ability to appropriately respond to both emergency and non-emergency situations, maintain an appearance and demeanor that projects a positive, professional image; assist with department wide special events when needed; perform other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Must be 15 years of age or older, and be willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays; varied schedule. Must hold or attain a current City of Columbia Food Handlers permit and follow established dress code.


    Prefer the following experiences:
    computer; point of sale software; cash register; cash handling; and customer service. Applicants must be able to work independently and attend mandatory staff meetings.

    A temporary employee position is one created and intended to exist for less than one thousand four hundred fifty (1,450) hours in any calendar year.

    Temporary employees have no seniority, grievance, or appeal privileges. Temporary employees shall have no benefits except as required by law.

    A temporary employee position may be full-time, part-time, variable hour or seasonal.

    Temporary/Seasonal employees do not qualify for sick, holiday or vacation pay. Pay checks are issued bi-weekly.

    This is a year-round position.
