Scientific Officer – Wastewater Chemistry

MCS Group is collaborating with a top-tier Northern Ireland employer to fill a temporary Scientific Officer position in their Wastewater Chemistry department.

The Role:

This role involves collecting and analyzing water, wastewater, trade effluent, sludge, and soils. The work encompasses a broad range of determinants, including trace metals, organics, general pollution indicators, nutrients, and microbiology.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Possesses a third-level qualification (HNC/HND/degree) in Science, Chemistry, or Environmental Science.
• Holds at least 1 year of practical analytical chemistry experience within a laboratory operating a Quality Management system.
• Has experience working within and understands ISO 17025 standards.
• Is knowledgeable about Chemical Analysis in the Water Industry.
