Sentara Halifax Hospital is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technician to work a 14-week assignment in the clinical lab
* $48/hr (MLT/MT) and $45/hr (MLT)

Job Summary
Performs laboratory tests; interprets test results; documents and reports test results; maintains equipment, instruments, and tools.
Associates degree from an accredited institution required. ASCP or AMT certification required.
Candidate with the required education/experience and are eligible for the examination have within one year from date of hire to obtain certification.
As a new graduate from an accredited institution, certification must be acquired within one year from date of hire. Certification must remain current for continued employment.Qualifications:
BLD - Bachelor's Level Degree (Required)
AMT Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) - Certification - American Medical Technologists (AMT), AMT Medical Technologist (MT) - Certification - American Medical Technologists (AMT), Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) - Certification - American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
