Oversees the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of Repair and Failure Analysis methods, processes and operations for new and existing products.
Manages the activities of the team and is responsible for staffing decisions, training and development, and performance management of the staff.
Ensures the effective use of materials, equipment, and personnel in producing quality products at minimum costs. Develops methods and enhances systems to maintain reports and records of Repair and Failure Analysis traceability. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.Nature Of Duties/Responsibilities
Be a leader of a group of Test and Debug Engineers and Technicians in a High Mix - Quick Turnaround Reverse Logistics environment
Assists in development and implementation of tooling, product documentation/process instructions required for the test and troubleshooting (at component level) of products.
Has to be able to mentor and guide startup technicians in developing new debug processesParticipates in new process development (complex boards troubleshooting).
Qualify new equipment for current or new processes
Guide team of test and debug engineers and technicians to develop and execute troubleshooting and rework protocols utilizing IPC Standards
Lead projects of advanced technology nature; compile/analyze reliability lab reports
Compiles and analyzes historical data to provide Failure Analysis conclusions/feedback to customer
Coordinate time study, line set up, line balancing/ line capacity and other process improvement related projects, and write reports
Must be detail oriented, team player, flexible and decision maker and self-starter with strong interpersonal skill
The ideal candidate must possess the ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a demanding environment, demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
In concert with quality organization and Program Management, ensures that customer requirements are implemented and met
Exercise leadership in driving new product introduction processes
Candidates must possess good written and verbal communication skills, and be able to adapt quickly to changes, prioritize and execute multiple tasks in the fast paced environment
Education And Experience
AS/BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
Minimum 5 years experience in managing test and debug engineering and technicians teams in Repair and Failure Analysis operations Labs for Telecom products
Proven track record organizing teams to implement new test and debug procedures
Must be a strong technologist with a background in the repair of complex electronic systems
Great communication skills both written and verbal
Experience with hiring and developing engineering resources and accomplish team buildings
Familiar with Lean initiative. Lean Six Sigma certification and/or training desired

Salary Range(annual): $120,000 - $150,000
