Job Position: Retail Clerk
Applicable Titles: Retail Associate, Sales Representative
Job Levels: I, II, III
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Summary:
Sales Representatives will help customers throughout their purchasing journey with our company. Interpersonal skills and being able to anticipate customer needs is a must.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Levels I through II: None
Level III: May review, mentor, or oversee the work of other Sales Representatives

Duties/Responsibilities:

Receives and handles requests from customers and distributors for price quotes, purchase orders, order adjustments, and order cancellations
Builds rapport with customers and work to ensure they receive excellent service
Uses computer database to retrieve necessary customer information, inventory information, and purchase order status
Provides pricing, delivery, and other order information to customers
Drafts purchase orders and invoices to submit to the accounting department
Maintains files of active orders and update with changes to customer accounts or orders
Confirms credit status of customers with financial/credit department as required

Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain good customer relations
Proficient computer skills and ability to learn database and ordering systems

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required
One year of experience in customer service or order processing preferred
Previous experience in retail or customer service preferred
Sandwich making experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

Able to sit and work on a computer for long periods of time
Able to lift up to 60 lbs at a time
Must be able to work in cold temperatures (coolers and freezers) for short periods of time
