Job Summary

Interventionists are more than classroom support; they are an integral part of an environment that allows students the freedom to discover their interests within a supportive and consistent culture of motivating and inspiring adults. As an Interventionist, your job is to create a safe, trusting, and supportive learning environment that enables students to learn through school and community experiences and develop as self-regulating, reflective, capable, knowledgeable, and responsible individuals.

Requirements / Qualifications

In addition to a high school diploma or equivalent, paraprofessionals are required to provide ONE of the following:

1) Transcripts showing two years of study at an institute of higher education equivalent to 48 semester units; or
2) A. A. degree (or higher), or
3) California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST); or
4) Paraeducator Exam Certificate (demonstrating knowledge of, and the ability to, assist in the instruction of reading, writing and mathematics.)
