    Reports To: Manager, Leasing Legal Services (Real Estate Attorney)

    Position Summary:

    This front-line position is responsible for assisting commercial real estate attorneys servicing a dynamic Santa Monica-based, publicly-traded, premier provider of Class-A office and retail properties and luxury apartment communities in Southern California and Honolulu. Assistant will prepare drafts of transactional documents, including office and retail leases and related documents, and provide other legal support services, all at the direction of real estate attorneys. Excellent working environment in a growing organization.

    Competencies:

    • Excellent word processing skills and overall computer literacy in operating business office applications, specifically Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat and graphics applications
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to review basic transactional documents and work with numerous templates.
    • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with attorneys, senior business personnel and other administrative employees as part of a team
    • High degree of organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities, while managing heavy transaction volume
    • Ability to work in an extremely fast-paced environment with minimal supervision to accomplish required objectives within established deadlines

    Education/Experience:

    • Bachelor's Degree; Paralegal Certificate or equivalent
    • Minimum of 5 years experience in preparing transactional legal documents with preparation of leases/lease amendments a plus.
