Job Overview

The Door Host plays a pivotal role in maintaining order and ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all patrons. This critical position serves as the initial point of contact for guests entering or exiting the venue.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Monitoring Patron Conduct: Checking identification, inspecting bags and personal items, and monitoring intoxication levels to maintain a safe environment.
Ensuring Venue Integrity: Protecting staff, property, and equipment from damage, while enforcing rules and regulations.
Providing Excellent Customer Service: Greeting patrons, removing unwelcome guests, and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
Coordinating Safety Measures: Escorting patrons to transportation, completing incident reports, and responding to emergencies.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

Exceptional Communication Skills: Ability to interact with patrons, staff, and neighbors in a welcoming and professional manner.
Trustworthiness: The ability to make sound judgments regarding guest entry and conduct.
Physical Abilities: Capable of standing, walking, and lifting up to 50lbs for extended periods.
Problem-Solving and Conflict Management: Effective skills in resolving disputes and managing challenging situations.
Knowledge and Passion for Chicago Nightlife (Optional): A strong appreciation for the city's vibrant nightlife scene can be an asset in this role.

Additional Requirements

Minimum Age: Must be at least 21 years old.
Availability: Ability to work nights, weekends, and late-night shifts is essential.
