    Family and Juvenile Services has an immediate need to fill a Court Designated Worker position in PendletonCounty.

    Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Receives public and status offense complaints against juveniles.
  • Arranges placements for juveniles taken into custody by law enforcement officers.
  • Conducts preliminary inquiry on complaints filed against juveniles.
  • Recommends formal processing or informal disposition.
  • Formulates and supervises diversion agreements.
  • Maintains records.
  • Keeps statistical information.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Minimum Requirements EDUCATION: Associates Degree
    EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: 1 year of work-related experience
    Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE
    Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: High School Diploma & 3 years job related experience
    SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Job requires general knowledge of the concepts ofjuvenile delinquency and the juvenile justice process; interpersonal communication and writing skills.Scheduling and organizing program-related meetings and events; and consultation, education and training tostaff and other groups. Working Conditions On call position that requires days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Performs job duties in anoffice and/or facility. Travel required.
