    Seasonal role: Memorial Day through Labor Day Weekend

    Schedule:

    Friday 11am - 6pm

    Saturday 8am - 6pm OR 9am - 7pm

    Sunday 8am - 1pm OR 9am - 2pm


    HOTEL RECREATION/ACTIVITIES DIRECTOR SUMMARY:

    The Activity Coordinator will plan and oversee all recreational activities and other activations such as games, sports, arts and crafts, and tastings. Their duties focus on creating activities that enrich guests' experience with physical, cognitive, social interactions and other activations.

    HOTEL RECREATION/ACTIVITIES DIRECTOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • The activity coordinator's job duties include planning, organizing and implementing a regular schedule of activities to allow guests to enjoy creative expression, socialization and exercise. Specifically, an activity coordinator's duties include:
    • Plan a calendar of activities and post a monthly calendar of events.
    • Effectively communicate both verbally and written with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service orientated manner.
    • Arrange reservations to off-site activities.
    • Submit requests for any needed equipment or supplies for activities.
    • Instruct guests on the proper usage of any equipment.
    • Keep all games ready for use.
    • Ensure that staff and participants follow all safety protocols.
    • Stock supplies and clean assigned areas.
    • Each associate will be required to follow the rules as found in the M&R Employee Handbook
    • Perform other duties as assigned by Management, of which employee is capable of performing.

    Hotel Recreation/Activities Director Job Requirements:

    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Energetic, enthusiastic and motivational
    • Strong communication and organization skills with strong conflict management.
    • Efficient, well organized, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously.
    • Prior guest service or other hospitality experience preferred.
    • Prior experience in a social activities or recreation setting preferred.
    • First aid and CPR due to overseeing physical activities.
    • Self-starter; takes initiative; flexible and able to change activities based on the guests that are present.
    • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
