- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
- Requires all motor skills with ability to do heavy work.
- Must be able to weld using Arc, MIG, and TIG processes
- Must be familiar with using torches, both Oxy/Acetylene and Plasma
- Must have basic math skills.
- Must be able to read a micrometer to .001 and a tape measure to 1/32.
- Must be willing to take direction from more senior mechanics as well as management.
- Needs to have an above-average mechanical aptitude.
- Be able to perform general facilities maintenance such as plumbing, HVAC, and electrical.
- Must be able to work flexible schedules and overtime is frequently required.
- Must be willing and able to learn new maintenance skills.
- Must have adequate quality tools to complete the job.
- Must have had no written warnings in the last 6 months.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Must be able to work at height from ladders and mobile lift station such as scissor lifts and articulating boom lifts
- Prefer electrical experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings is preferred
- Yarn Mill equipment experience is preferred.
