Job Description

As a Security Officer in Hutchins, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage access points, screen visitors and drivers, and support security-related checks that keep operations moving smoothly. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help discourage incidents, and provide clear, professional customer service. This is a driving post, and you will represent Allied Universal with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.

Screen employees, visitors, and/or contractors entering the distribution location by verifying identification, checking authorization to enter, and inspecting packages, bags, and/or personal items per posted requirements.

Control access at entrances and checkpoints by managing vehicle and pedestrian flow, coordinating with operations staff, and documenting entries, exits, and refusals per site policy.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, completing incident documentation, and supporting responding personnel.

Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, watching for unusual activity, unsecured doors, and/or policy violations, and promptly reporting concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.

Be at least 21 years of age.

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
