MRI Technologist - Manager

Reston VA

MUST:
Experienced MRI Technologist Manager

Bachelors in science is preferred

ARRT certification in RT (R) or MRI or ARMRIT certification required.

Basic Life Support certification

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or graduate of an accredited MRI program preferred.

Supervisory & Leadership experience - 3 plus years

At least 3 years of experience in radiology as a technologist (radiography, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, CT, MRI, or interventional radiography


DUTIES:

The Manager, Radiology Operations will provide leadership and oversight of an imaging modality, program, imaging center and / or functional areas within the Division of Diagnostic Imaging and Radiology.

Managing a team of MRI Technologists and medical assistants

Programs may include billing, performance improvement, safety, information technology, education, regulatory, or accreditation.

Perform MRI examinations with proper contrast media protocols.

You will identify anatomical orientation on all required images and ensures proper film identification.

Evaluate quality of MRI procedure and determines if additional imaging is required, prior to communicating procedure information to radiologist.
