As a University Program Lead responsible for supporting the execution, excellence and continuous improvement of our university outreach and recruitment of top graduate and intern talent. We are seeking a recruitment professional in our Irvine, CA office. Leveraging your project management skills, organizational and communication skills, you will work with various partners within Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Talent Management and Development, and the business to identify, hire and develop the next generation of technical talent. This position requires heavy travel to campuses and career fairs.

    Responsibilities:

    You will support the full life-cycle university recruitment by liaising with internal stakeholders, recruiters, human resources business partners, talent management and development, and graduates/interns to support Shimmicks talent development priorities and hiring events. You will also be responsible for communications, reporting, university relations, and candidate engagement - this is an opportunity for you to help shape and redefine the understanding of what our industry has to offer. You should possess extensive experience and knowledge in the high-volume university attraction and recruitment space.

    Key duties and responsibilities will include:

    • Extensive knowledge of academic cycles, university attraction and outreach and working with student populations
    • Enthusiasm and dedication to College Recruitment, the future of our organization
    • Ability to conduct volume recruitment across multiple locations
    • Serve as primary point of contact and support for program interns and fellows before, during, and after their interns/fellowship at PEM;
    • Strengthen connections between interns/fellows and PEM staff, and external museum professionals through continued mentorship and outreach;
    • Coordinate and help plan the overall logistics of field trips, leadership seminars, enrichment activities, and social events;
    • Attend professional conferences and identify other networking opportunities on behalf of the program and alumni and implement and manage ongoing alumni relationships
    • Network and collaborate with colleague institutions and related training programs;
    • Identify and support recruitment strategies, seeking highly visible avenues for program recruitment and advocacy;
    • Manage annual evaluation process, tabulating data, and reporting; collaborate on the development of longitudinal program evaluation and provide data and background materials for grant reporting and funding solicitation; and
    • Prepare and oversee the day-to-day aspects of the program.
    • Prioritize multiple functions and manage time efficiently in a fast paced, changing work environment

    • Update applicant pool and candidate status and date in the applicant tracking system in real-time
    • Coordinate and execute recruiting events
    • Full life-cycle recruitment including sourcing, screening candidates, creating shortlists, and managing the offer process
    • Tracking, organizing, coordinating, and facilitating campus outreach across the Shimmick business
    • Managing candidate inquiries, responding to information requests, providing guidance, and educating the business on our college recruitment activities
    • Working as a team to implement strategy and bringing innovative ideas to improve the program within the context of our business environment
    • Tracking and supporting key college relationships across the geography
    • Crafting engaging job descriptions and job postings as needed
    • Liaising with university career centers on job postings and identifying ways to connect with top talent
    • Identifying and implementing cutting edge ways to continuously promote Shimmick to university students
    • Knowledge of social media outreach channels critical in the university talent space.
    • Providing superior customer service and education to our internal clients while executing our college recruitment strategy
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelors degree or equivalent + 2 years professional recruitment experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Strong written and verbal communication with a positive, client/candidate-focused customer service attitude
      Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple calendars and deadlines
      Experience working in or with universities and colleges on recruitment/placement activities
      Understanding of the campus recruitment environment

    Additional Information:

    • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.

    The salary range for this position is between $90, ,000 per year depending on experience and/or education.

    These benefits are available to all employees working more than 20 hours per week. Employees working less than 20 hours per week are eligible for medical, dental and vision coverage as well as EAP services.
