    General Summary: Under general supervision, regularly directs other employees in the operation of gas combustion turbine plant and their auxiliaries and related equipment, in addition, may perform any of the duties of a Combustion Turbine Plant Operator.

    Must have all the qualifications of a Combustion Turbine Plant Operator and in addition:

    1. Must have had at least two years' experience as such, or the equivalent.
    2. Must successfully complete required training.
    3. Must have a thorough knowledge of the principles involved in the efficient generation of electricity and a working knowledge of moderately complex electrical and mechanical apparatus, control circuits and control relays.
    4. Must have demonstrated leadership abilities including a cooperative temperament and the ability to receive and transmit orders and instructions in such a manner as to inspire the respect and confidence of all coworkers, and
    5. Must be capable of assuming minor supervisory responsibilities.

    In this role, you will be responsible for:

    1. Operating the facility from the DCS HMI in the control room.
    2. Overseeing and directing the activity of the Combustion Turbine Plant Operator(s) outside the control room.
    3. Directing the operation required in removing equipment from, and restoring it to service, including the making out of switching schedules and switching orders and placing and removing protective tags for scheduled and unplanned outage of plant equipment.
    4. Taking necessary action, on own initiative, to promptly correct irregularities or abnormal operating conditions, and reporting such conditions and action taken.
    5. Receiving and executing or transmitting orders from the Dispatcher relative to generation, switching, voltage and frequency conditions, and making periodic telephone summary reports to the Dispatcher.
    6. Administering the daily functions needed, e.g. safe work permits, hot work permits, lock out tag out program.
    7. Assures that alarms and adverse conditions are properly cleared and reported to appropriate authority, and that all O&M on site take appropriate corrective actions.
    8. Assure that the daily log and other plant records are filled out in a timely and accurate manner.
    9. Plant operating manuals and procedures are reviewed, per the administrative procedure process.
    10. Perform other similar or related work.
