    WHAT YOU'LL DOThe Internal Auditor is responsible for assisting Internal Audit management in completing the risk-based audit plan by performing regulatory, financial, and operational audits and assessments in accordance with professional internal auditing standards, Nevada Gaming Control Board Minimum Internal Controls (MICS), internal controls over financial reporting, and Company policies.

    This role requires a desire to learn, strong communication skills, organizational and management skills, and a collaborative approach in a dynamic environment.

    ROLE EXPECTATIONSResponsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:

    Performing financial, operational, and compliance/regulatory audits in accordance with professional standards: Sarbanes-Oxley, GCB MICS, PCI, established property standards and best practices, inclusive of:

    Assisting in planning and performing risk assessments (Entity and Process Level).

    Documenting and performing walkthroughs of key processes, risks and controls.

    Conducting audits and remediation and roll-forward testing.

    Assisting in developing audit checklists, programs and/or guidelines.

    Concluding, reporting, and presenting audit findings.

    Preparing and maintaining written documentation/workpapers (i.e.

    , checklists, programs and/or guidelines), which reflect audit objectives, audit scope, audit procedures, work performed, findings, the conclusions reached, and the resolution of all exceptions, inclusive of:

    Determining compliance with internal controls through observations, through examination of documents and records, and/or through inquiries with employees.

    Identifying and communicating non-compliance with internal controls or accounting and reporting systems.

    Assisting in recommending corrective actions and verification of corrective action taken.

    Assisting in writing clear and concise audit reports.

    Assisting in presenting results to Department Heads.

    REQUIREMENTS
    Must possess a four-year degree or an advanced degree in a business-related field, major or concentration in accounting preferred. Or possess any other four-year degree and is a CPA, CIA, CFE, CMA or CISA.

    Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one, small group, and large group settings.

    Ability to write effective letters, memos, and presentation decks.

    Must have working computer knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

    Must be a responsible, flexible, and highly-motivated individual.

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

    PREFERREDPrefer that candidates are interested in pursuing qualification to obtain professional certification (CPA, CIA, CFE, CMA, or CISA).

    CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSMust be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSMust be able to work under time constraints and within established deadlines.

    Must regularly lift and/move up to 10 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.


    WORKING CONDITIONSWork is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment and exposed to various environmental factors such as but not limited to noise, dust and smoke.
