    We're on the lookout for a compassionate and approachable Family Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the Fontana Health Center on a Full Time basis. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, you will be tasked with offering consultations, diagnoses, and treatments for various medical conditions, under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of two (2) years of preferred clinical experience
    • Familiarity with EHR and Microsoft Office
    • Ability to excel in a fast-paced setting
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Capability to work autonomously
    • In-depth understanding of modern medical practices related to public health services; basic knowledge of state and federal regulations concerning public health
    • Demonstrated capacity to collaborate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds in a multicultural setting

    Training, Education, and Licensure

    • Active license to practice medicine in California
    • AANP Certification
    • DEA Certification
    • Current BLS certification required

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Conducting patient examinations, obtaining medical histories, recording findings, and making initial diagnoses or determining follow-up procedures
    2. Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, as well as performing therapeutic procedures like immunizations and injections
    3. Utilizing professional judgment to consult with the medical director on suitable treatment measures
    4. Developing and executing patient care plans, providing guidance to patients, and keeping track of progress
    5. Issuing prescriptions within state guidelines and clinic protocols
    6. Offering health education, particularly on STD prevention and health maintenance
    7. Screening cases that require the review of the Medical Director
    8. Engaging in various meetings, including staff meetings and planning sessions
    9. Contributing to the program's ongoing quality assurance activities
    10. Overseeing all nursing services and supervising nurse practitioner students, medical assistants, and volunteer healthcare personnel
    11. Availability to work alternate Saturdays
