00 HourlyTravel PercentageNoneJob ShiftAnyJob CategoryManufacturingDescriptionSteel Plate ProcessorSummary: Operates traveling or stationary overhead crane (ground controlled) to lift, move, and position steel loads within the production facility and assist the CNC Machine OperEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Observe load hookup and determine the safety of the load.
Manipulates or depresses crane control buttons, to regulate the speed and direction of crane and hoist movement.
Uses hoisting attachments such as hook, sling, or bucket as load requires.
Cleans and maintains a crane and hoisting mechanism.
Inspects crane for defective parts and notifies supervisor of defects or malfunctions.

Education/ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language AbilityAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, and other employees of the organization.

Math AbilityAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
