    Reports To: Sr. Manager, Pricing & Promotions

    Summary:The Pricing & Promotions Team provides insights, tools, and capabilities to guide pricing and promotion decision making while ensuring the delivery of product and market volume and profit objectives. The Pricing Manager plays a critical role in developing and implementing pricing strategies and policies to maximize profitable growth and ensure competitiveness in the market. Some of the essential responsibilities of this position involve becoming a pricing expert within the distilled spirits industry, pricing strategy development, collaboration with sales and distributor partners, and price structure management.

    Essential Functions:

    • Pricing Strategy:
      • Develops and executes pricing strategies aligned with overall business objectives, market trends, and competitive landscape.
      • Analyzes Nielsen competitor pricing and price position to identify pricing strategy opportunities and risks.
    • Volume/Profitability Optimization:
      • Identifies opportunities which balance volume and profitability optimization through effective pricing strategies and promotions.
      • Analyzes the impact of pricing changes on sales volume, revenue, and market share, as well as key financial metrics, delivering balanced outcomes.
    • Financial Analysis:
      • Conducts thorough financial analysis to assess the impact of pricing decisions on financial performance.
      • Utilizes pricing models and data-driven insights to guide pricing recommendations.
      • Applies pricing strategy and execution insights to develop market level financial forecasts and to monitor market level risk and opportunity analysis.
    • Scenario Analysis:
      • Conducts scenario analysis to evaluate the potential impact of different pricing strategies under various market conditions.
      • Provides recommendations based on scenario outcomes to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
    • Price Elasticity Analysis:
      • Utilizes NIQ to understand price elasticity and customer responsiveness to price changes.
      • Utilizes findings to inform pricing decisions and promotional strategies.
    • Competitive Intelligence:
      • Monitors and analyzes competitor pricing strategies to ensure the company maintains a competitive position in the market, aligned with desired brand price positioning.
      • Provides regular updates and recommendations based on changes in the competitive landscape.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
      • Collaborates with sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain teams to execute pricing strategies aligned with overall business goals.
      • Provides guidance and insights to support new product launches, working with brand managers.
      • Partners with distributor counterparts to communicate pricing and ensure distributor/market alignment.
    • Data Management:
      • Manages and analyzes large datasets related to pricing and deal structures, ensuring efficient support of billing validation.
      • Implements best practices for data accuracy and system integrity to ensure the reliability of desired data outcomes.
    • Performs all other duties as assigned.

    Required Education & Experience:
    • Must have the ability to maintain current knowledge, skills and/or certifications relevant to assigned job responsibilities.
    • 5-8 years of experience in a marketing or finance related role.
    • Experience working within the CPG industry, specifically the food & beverage industry.
    • Experience utilizing and interpreting AC Nielsen and IRI data.
    • Completion of a bachelors degree program in business, finance, economics, or related field.
    • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
    Preferred Education & Experience:
    • Experience working in a pricing focused role.
    • Experience working within the alcohol industry.

    Work Location & Travel Required:This is a remote position working primarily from a remote/home office location. Occasional travel may be required to the Companys MN-based locations.

    Work Environment & Physical Demands:Work is performed primarily in a remote/home office setting. This position requires the ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods of time, including the dexterity to frequently type on a keyboard.

    Salary Range$90,000 - $115,000
    Where a candidate may or ultimately will fall in the salary range will vary based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location and experience.
