    • Location: Highlands, NC 28741 (Highlands, North Carolina — Blue Ridge Mountains)
    • Assignment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nurse (13-week assignment)
    • Unit: Acute Care (24 beds) — Med/Surg, geriatric and swing bed care
    • Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), variable shifts
    • Hours per Week: 36
    • Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 2/2/2026 – End: 5/4/2026)
    • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,570 - $1,650 (travel nursing pay)
    • Patient Ratios: 6-7:1
    • Documentation System: Cerner EMR (experience with Cerner preferred)
    • Dress Code: Navy top with white bottoms

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — North Carolina or compact state accepted (NC RN)
    • Minimum 1 year recent acute care RN experience (Med/Surg, geriatric, or inpatient rehab/swing bed)
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS and CPI certifications preferred
    • Advanced wound care skills preferred; ability to perform minor procedures
    • Proficient with standard Med/Surg equipment and Cerner EMR documentation
    • Strong communication, patient experience, and concierge-level service skills

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to acute care, geriatric, and swing bed patients
    • Provide advanced wound care and perform minor procedures as needed
    • Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes using Cerner EMR
    • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and a supportive healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
    • Occasional float to other nursing units as needed
    • Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and dress code standards
    • Maintain a positive patient experience in an affluent community healthcare setting
