    Description

    Seeking experienced Controller Consultants for clients in the South Wayne Country, MI area to be engaged on an interim basis
    As a Controller Consultant, specific role(s) with clients and position responsibilities will vary from engagement to engagement

    Objectives/Responsibilities May Include:

    • Complete month-end close including bank and account reconciliations, intercompany transitions, accruals and managing revenue recognition
    • Prepare monthly financial statements including P&L and Statement of Cash Flows
    • Perform financial analysis including variance, trend and cash flow as required
    • Support the budgeting and forecasting process, including budget to actual and budget to forecast analysis
    • Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines
    • Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective actions
    • Maximize payroll efficiency through innovative process development
    • Help develop and support short- and long-term operational strategies
    • Maintain internal safeguards for revenue receipts, costs, and team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures
    • Establish (in coordination with CFO) financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on biweekly, monthly, and annual basis
    • Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, adhering to national and local legal standards while remaining knowledgeable of proposed legislation
    • Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows
    • Oversee and support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity
    • Oversight of HR operations including payroll, benefits, recruitment, and internal staffing
    • Assist senior leadership by creating and preparing various reports
    • Proven process improvement experience and ability to review processes for effectiveness and efficiency
    • Other duties as assigned
    Requirements/Qualifications/Preferred Skill
    • Seven plus years of progressive accounting or finance experience with at least three years of people management experience
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required
    • CPA, CMA or CGMA certification a plus
    • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
    • Working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting
