    Job Summary

    The Orthopedic Nursing Supervisor provides clinical and operational leadership for a high-performing orthopedic care team, ensuring exceptional patient outcomes across the continuum of musculoskeletal care. This role blends hands-on clinical expertise with strategic leadership, supporting evidence-based practice, staff development, and a culture of collaboration and excellence. The ideal candidate is a confident leader with a passion for orthopedics, team mentorship, and delivering patient-centered care in a fast-paced, outcomes-focused environment.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Lead, mentor, and support orthopedic nursing staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across inpatient and/or outpatient orthopedic services
    • Oversee daily clinical operations, staffing, scheduling, and workflow to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant care delivery
    • Serve as a clinical resource and role model, providing guidance on complex orthopedic cases, post-operative care, pain management, and mobility protocols
    • Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and professional growth through coaching, performance feedback, and staff development initiatives
    • Collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons, physicians, athletic trainers, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and care coordination
    • Ensure adherence to evidence-based practices, regulatory standards, infection prevention, and quality and safety initiatives
    • Participate in quality improvement projects, data tracking, and performance metrics related to orthopedic outcomes, patient satisfaction, and throughput
    • Support onboarding, education, and competency validation for new and existing team members
    Actively contribute to a positive patient and employee experience by promoting open communication, engagement, and continuous improvement Requirements:
    • Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
    • Required Licensure/Certification: State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider and any relevant certification as determined at position level.
      Minimum Experience: 3 years of nursing experience.
    • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
