    Overview:


    Cyber Defense Technologies (CDT) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Security Architect to join our team in Dayton, Ohio.

    The ideal candidate will work with internal team members to ensure the systems are functional, secure, and scalable. The systems and networks developed will be used to collect and process data and improve the customer's security infrastructure.


    Clearance Requirements:
    An active Secret clearance is required.
    Candidates who do not meet this requirement will not be considered.


    Responsibilities:
    Develop security architecture, standards, and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.

    Continuously review and propose changes to systems, networks, and software designs.

    Analyze logging and alert data, identifying and escalating potential security events.

    Design security architecture elements to mitigate threats as they emerge.

    Create solutions that balance business requirements with information and cybersecurity requirements.

    Partner with business user to support the intergradation of cybersecurity protection into business operations.

    Act as the key member of the incident response team.


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Systems Security, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related Engineering discipline and typically 1-3 years of relevant experience

    Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education.

    Strong understanding of firewall technologies, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, data encryption, and other industry-standard techniques and practices.

    In-depth understanding of TCP/IP protocols, network analysis, and network/security applications.

    Knowledge of operating systems, particularly Windows, Linux, and macOS.

    Familiarity with domain structures, user authentication, and digital signatures.

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Preferred Certifications:
    CISSP, RHCSA, RHCE, MCTS, MCSA, CISM
