- Execute and enforce the HITT safety program for all subcontractors, ensuring all incidents are promptly documented and investigated, and aiding in safety inspections by external bodies
- Maintain HITT quality standards throughout all project phases
- Lead on-site safety efforts, ensuring a secure work environment for everyone involved
- Keep a detailed daily log of activities and site conditions, manage the punch list, and oversee the closeout process until owner/architect approval
- Collaborate with the project manager to develop the project schedule, guarantee proper installation methods and sequences are followed, fulfill schedule commitments, and sustain HITT quality benchmarks
- Nurture positive relationships with all subcontractors on the project, foster community connections to enhance business prospects, and ensure fair treatment of subcontractors
- Ensure accurate daily documentation of work orders, comprehend subcontractor scopes to prevent unnecessary changes, and address issues promptly by providing solutions
- Coordinate and structure the site team, arrange temporary facilities/utilities, and identify critical items that require expedited handling
- Work closely with the project manager and site operations team throughout the project lifecycle
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a focus on construction, engineering, or business is highly preferred
- Alternatively, extensive work experience can substitute for a degree
- 8-10 years of experience in commercial construction, with prior involvement with a commercial general contractor
- Experience in tenant renovations, service work, projects in occupied spaces, weekend projects, and fast-paced environments are advantageous
- Proficiency in construction processes and best practices
- Ability to coordinate necessary resources, such as personnel, tools, and time, to meet deadlines and achieve desired outcomes
- Prior experience in project leadership is preferred
- Proficiency in sector-specific software systems like Microsoft Office suite, ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam, and OSHA 30 Certification is a plus
- Capability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, positivity towards construction, data interpretation, organization, integrity, continuous improvement, flexibility, collaboration, and respect towards others

Commercial Construction Senior Superintendent - GovernmentJob Description:
A Senior Superintendent (Supt.) oversees the project's progress on-site in line with the project schedule and upholding HITT's safety and quality standards. They provide guidance and act as the link between project team members, advocating for the interests of both the business and clients across all aspects, embodying the qualities of a middle-tier leader. Senior Superintendents convey project priorities to site staff and all subcontractors, assuming the primary onsite leadership role for the construction project.
