    Retail is the cornerstone of SPINS as our Retail Partners are the primary source of data fueling our front-end applications and enabling our proprietary Product Intelligence. The retail team is focused on recruiting, retaining and expanding our partnerships with retailers and distributors to ensure their sustained growth. Our distributor partnerships are a critical part of this eco-system and tightly interwoven with our retail partners. Our distributor partners are the main enabler of products making it onto retail shelves from our brand partners.

    Our Recruiting Team and Partnership/Expansion Teams are the two big buckets of things we do.

  • Recruiting focuses on identifying and enlisting new retail partners to join the SPINS eco system.
  • The Partnership/Expansion teams focus on delivering impact to our retail and distributor partners by leveraging our data insights and applications to help them grow their business.
  • The Retail Support Team uses SPINS industry-leading Natural, Organic, and Specialty Products Retail Market Information in combination with analytics and strategic analyses to generate powerful insights.
  • The "North Star" of the Retail Team is Client Impact – when our retail partners are successful, we're successful. That means taking a very high touch, committed approach to working with our retail partners to unlock new insights for growth. We are passionate about building expertise in the "business of retail" as well as deepening our expertise in the data that powers key retail decisions. We're always looking for new data sources and new ways to help our retail partners connect the dots between assortment, innovation, pricing and shopper engagement back to data insights.

    This Retail Insights Analyst role collaborates with our client (Specialty Retailer) and together identify their biggest growth opportunities. The successful candidate is client-minded with primary focus on delivering strategic analyses and producing innovative insights and recommendations for the client. To excel at this role, you must be confident, resourceful, organized and be able to efficiently leverage SPINS industry-leading Natural, Organic, and Specialty Products Retail Market Information in combination with analytics and strategic analyses to generate powerful insights that support clients in understanding their opportunities and motivates them to act.

    What you will do

  • Support account management initiatives and client communication from client need discovery and identification, project management prioritization, and insights delivery
  • Guide the delivery of recurring and ad-hoc strategic analyses, insights, and recommendations based on applying SPINS proprietary assets, in combination with the client's team members and client's information
  • Collaborate with executives of the client to understand their opportunities and develop growth solutions and strategies to capture them.
  • Nurture the client relationship to be the trusted advisor, continually assess, and improve reporting and tools to drive forward the client's business.
  • Coordinate, facilitate and/or conduct client training on SPINS data and applications, ensuring they are able to effectively use, interpret, and apply them to their business
  • What you bring

  • Prior experience with Point of Sale (POS) and syndicated data such as Circana (IRi), NielsenIQ, SPINS, Numerator, etc.
  • 2+ years CPG/Retail analytics experience in with a Retailer, CPG company, consulting, syndicated data, or Market Research firm
  • Prior experience managing client stakeholders and multiple projects concurrently
  • Prior experience translating data and using analyses in storytelling and reporting efficiency
  • Excellent presentation skills, comfortable presenting to client's executives
  • Initiative, creativity and a passion to deliver results that make a difference to our client
  • Self-starter, with strong intellectual curiosity
  • Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Comfortable with complexity
  • Interpersonal, organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to understand the customer mindset and offer solutions
  • Skilled at leveraging business relationships at all levels within the organization
