    We are looking for a Physician Assistant to join Dr. Eizember's Spine Specialty Practice.

    Most of your time will be spent in clinic with occassional OR time (0-40%).

    Nights / Weekends: Phone Calls, weekend rounding upwards of once every 3 weekends

    ER Call: 0%

    Dr. Eizember travels to Mission Trails, Westover Hills and the Quarry area within San Antonio. Future locations could be added.

    Salary based on experience plus quarterly bonus structure and annual cost of living increases.

    Up to 10k Sign On Bonus offered

    What you'll need:
    • The Physician Assistant is responsible for diagnostic and therapeutic management of patients including: complete medical history, conducting physicals, establishing diagnoses through tests, prescribing medications, and formulating treatment plans. Provides follow-up treatments and care to patients in accordance with protocols established by physician.
    • Determines appropriate level of E/M coding after each visit and closes encounters within 96 hours.
    • Responds to all administrative tasks assigned in EHR including patient cases, results, refills, and phone messages.
    • Reviews diagnostic studies and labwork and communicates results with patients.
    • Assists in surgeries, performs rounding and assists with call if needed.
    • Complies with all prescriptive authority guidelines from the Texas Medical Board.
    • Complies with the use of Prescriptive Monitoring Program (PMP) for schedule III-V drug
    What you'll need:
    • Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. Must also hold current and unrestricted License by Texas State Board of Physician Assistants.
    • Minimum of 2-3 years experience as physician assistant in Orthopaedic or related field.
    • Must be able to communicate effectively with patients and staff members, must be able to create and maintain positive rapport with patients, physician, and other staff members, must be able to work weekends as needed..
    • Knowledge of general computer systems a must, word and excel a plus..
    • Other duties to be assigned as necessary and may vary at times, as needed by your immediate supervisor or as directed by the company
